Since retiring, painting has become an integral part of my life. When I paint, I lose all sense of time and place. I feel transported into another dimension.
I highly recommend painting to all. There is an artist in each and every one of us waiting to be discovered!
My Story
I started painting in oils and I have found that this medium results in a very rich image. I have also used acrylics, and water oils. When I started painting, the empty canvass frightened me. Then, I completed my first painting and could hardly believe what I had created!
I have had paintings displayed in the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario, the Backstreet Gallery in Noëlville, the Sudbury Theatre Centre, the Sudbury Art Club, and in local art galleries, coffee shops and businesses. I participated in the Science North Partners art group online, which was a great opportunity to connect with other artists during the pandemic.
